Dr. Jimmy Kwok D.C.
Dr. Jimmy Kwok grew up in New York City, NY. In his teens he moved to Lansing, MI and attended Okemos High School. Following high school, Dr. Jimmy attended Lansing Community college and picked electrical engineer for his career starting point. After a year, a fellow Chiropractor introduced him to Chiropractic. He earned his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. Since graduating from college, he has taken advanced classes in the techniques of Gonstead, Flexion-Distraction, and Activator. He also continues to attend education seminars throughout the year to maintain his advancement in the field of chiropractic.
To become a chiropractor one must complete over 4500 classroom hours and pass four rigorous National Board exams prior to earning chiropractic license to practice in Michigan.
On a personal note, Dr. Jimmy, at the time of starting at Palmer College of Chiropractic, was suffering from constant headache and low back pain. Since Dr. Jimmy personally started chiropractic care at Palmer College, he began to understand that chiropractic health care doesn't just stop at the pain level. Chiropractic has also improved his issues with stomach problems and hearing difficulties.
After graduating from Palmer College in 2006, he became an associate in a chiropractic clinic in Lansing, MI. Practicing there for two years, he gained more experience in chiropractic skills, exercise, and spinal correction. In June 2009, Dr. Jimmy acquired the DC Chiropractic & Massage Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in hopes of educating the community of a more hoalistic sense of a healthy lifestyle.
On another personal note, Dr. Jimmy was happily married to his wife Yahong this past July 4. 2009 and currently lives in the Grand Rapids area.
Michelle CMT
Michelle was born in West Michigan, and has lived here all her life. She grew up in Wyoming and continues to live there. After high school, she attended GRCC and received her Associates of Arts and Sciences.
After working in the banking world for six years, she decided she needed to make a change in her life. Her goal was to find a career that she could help people and make people walk away with a positive attitude. That is when she decided to attend Blue Heron Academy and study to become a Certified Medical Massage Therapist. In six months she completed the required curriculum to recieve her certificate. The day after she graduated from BHA, she began working at DC Chiropractic.
So when you call DC Chiropractic, you will probably speak to Michelle, because she is not only a Massage Therapist in the clinic, she is also the Office Manager.
Ronda CMT
Ronda, born and raised in Wayne, MI, where her parents worked for GM and Ford Motor Companies, moved to the West Michigan area in 1987.
Ronda has always been in the field of caring for others. Working in nursing, inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation and finally as a Certified Massage Therapist for the past twelve years. She graduated in 1998 form the Health Enrichment Center.
Ronda tailors each session to her patients individual needs. She practices a variety of modlities that include; Swedish Relaxation Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Sports massage, Acupressure, Prenatal Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, La Stone Massage (hot & cold stone massage), Manual Medicine I and Facial Massage/ TMJ work.
